About me

There are so many amazing things in the 'net today. I remember GeoCities, but was especially excited to stumble upon NeoCities! On this site I hope to learn a little HTML and catch up on all the internet I missed in the 90's. I will post my progress as I learn new things. Check back often!

Forest creatures

Last weekend I went out to my brother's cabin in New Hampshire. He made his money in the furniture business and still visits our Mom, at least, after ignoring us for several years. It almost felt like he was trying too hard to do something nice by letting me stay there. But I wasn't going to turn down the opportunity for a relaxing time in the wilderness.
How do you make it start on a new line, with space? Do I need to use tables?

Oh ok. So I left Clara — she knows me so well, she never worries when I need to go off and do my own thing every once in a while. I went through too many relationships before I found a woman like that. But I made the 7 hour drive on Friday, arriving early enough to make the bed, fill the bird feeder, and enjoy the gray evening on the balcony. It wasn't long before I was greeted by a Blue Jay, no doubt hungry, but also unafraid of me, sitting a few feet away. I took a close-up with the old Nikon I recently found, and went inside to make some coffee on one of those Keurig machines that's apparently all the rage now. I don't get it — seems wasteful and unnecessary.

By the time I returned, the squirrels had discovered my cache and scared some of the birds away. But other birds didn't mind much, and they simply took turns eating from it. It was beautiful to watch, which I did for a good while. It was very cold, but I love the seasons (in the way only an ex-Southerner feels), and the deep cold of winter that makes summer so beautiful when it comes.

I have to go eat. To be continued...
